Latest Review: I am from Ohio but we had our wedding in Eatonton, Georgia. Even with planning from far away, Ernie was very easy to talk to, profession, personable, and helpful.
I filled out the few pages of songs choices for each event during the ceremony and reception and he made our playlist exactly to match. And everything flowed very well.
Ernie provided one wireless mic and one lapel mic which we used for our officiant and our friend that sang. (We did have to bring a separate amp for our friend's guitar because it cannot plug into Ernie's DJ system. It wasn't a problem at all, we just had to make plans for it ahead of time. Just for anyone to keep in mind.)
The music for both the ceremony and reception could be heard everywhere, and we were in a fairly large outdoor venue!
I requested a few songs that aren't super popular and Ernie found them all and the were exactly what I asked for.
The only thing I wasn't a fan of was occasionally a few songs were mixed into others (ex: a burst of "Party in the USA" came on in the middle of "Uptown Funk" and it was more of a distraction than enjoyable). It only happened once or twice so it could've totally been an accident, and if it was intentional, Ernie was very professional and accommodating and I'm sure he would've not included it if I had know to ask for him to not mix the songs abruptly like that!
Overall everything was very easy, I'm very much so a planner and want everything a certain way. But... This was my first time ever hiring a DJ (as I'm sure is the case for a lot of brides).
Our wedding turned out beautiful and our music had a big part of that to me! I spoke to multiple DJs and DJ companies and for the price, quality, and customer service Ernie did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend him!
**A little separate tip for future brides who may be looking for a DJ- Don't leave the "dance party" part of you reception cause you forgot to get you dress busseled before. I did this cause I didn't want to be stepped on the whole time or get my dress ripped, but I missed out on a lot of the fun!
