I hired this professional for an AC diagnosis and paid the initial fee. During the service, he mentioned he needed to perform a coil cleaning without first informing me that it would be an additional charge of around $100. After this unapproved charge, he completely misdiagnosed the problem, claiming the compressor was bad and quoting me $3,800 for the repair. He then attempted to convince me I needed a full system replacement for $5,000-$10,000. I got a second opinion. Another technician came out, correctly identified the actual issue was a faulty capacitor, and fixed it all in less than 30 minutes for $200. The technician even said that "a bad capacitor is one of the easiest things to diagnose." The lack of transparent pricing and inaccurate diagnosis is unacceptable. I paid for this man to come into my home and do nothing but waste my time. I would avoid this service.
