Went online an found the Amish built desk I wanted. Had them send me samples of the finish (about 30 different finishes...I'm pretty particular). They eventually fired me as a customer because I was asking for too many customizations and suggested that I work with a local builder in my area (I don't blame them...like I said...I'm particular). Ok, so I got quotes from 5 "locals". Interior Motives provided the best price so I figured I start there...but I was naturally skeptical of the build quality I would receive at the bottom of the price spectrum. So, I decided I would make the trip out to Cartersville to get a better feel.

Josh pulled himself away from his family and met me on a Saturday morning to put together a couple of possible finishes for me while I hung out with him and we got to know each other a bit. I left not completely satisfied with a finish but very confident in his ability (he had other projects he was working on sitting around). I figured I could put together my own finish for him to copy (worse case) in the month or so it was going to take to do the work. Toward the end of the project, I drove back out to his shop to compare his last couple of finish attempts with the four I had prepared. His oil finish was superior (damn lol).

Throughout the process, Laura (his wife & office manager) communicated with me about pricing, timelines, drawer hardware, install, etc...even sent me pics of the stock Josh would use for the project).

The result...best price, best service, best product, and I got to know 2 great people (which really is why I write his detailed of a review for them).

As a customer, its your job to be patient and wait on your project to be completed without rushing your builder or over-communicating with the office manager. If you can't do that, don't have something custom built. I assume any negative review on Thumbtack or elsewhere for these guys are a result of being a pain in the ass customer who is incapable of staying patient. There is absolutely ZERO to be disappointed in here folks. Not sure if I will have other projects at this point, but if I do, they will DEFINITELY go to Josh & Laura at IM. Thanks for the great work guys!

I was so impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship on these gorgeous pieces of furniture! What a great value too! The custom designs were made just like the photo I showed them. They delivered the furniture to our home in Midtown and were flexible and creative on helping us getting it upstairs to our bedroom. Due to the process, there was minor scratches but they offered to send us a touch up kit and am looking forward to being able to touch up the tiny bits! The project did take more than I was initially quoted but was well worth the wait. The furniture is so beautiful I am so happy I used Interior Motives and already have a couple new projects in mind to get help with! Thanks Josh and Laura!

Josh and his team did a beautiful job
My kitchen is spectacular, functional, and so fun.

Josh helped me with my design and added many special touches. He is a master with wood.

My project was completed on time and Josh was happy to add extras that I thought of along the way.

I went to a local winery opening and the wood work was very impressive! Amazing craftsmanship and artestry went into the making of the not only the larger then life doors when you first approach, but the main bar and bathroom vanities as well! Very luxurious quality for sure.
