- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into the construction business at the age of 18. I got into the business because I knew I did not want to work behind a desk all day. I have stayed in the business I like to build things and see that I helped create that beautiful project. I also enjoy making my customers vision for the project come to life and see how satisfied and pleased they are.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do many jobs for my customers. I will do anything that they wish and sometimes they ask for my guidance and I enjoy helping design the room, floor or choosing the best color and giving them another perspective to look at.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently installed hardwood flooring in a kitchen. I used recycled original hardwood flooring from a demolished house and some new oak hardwood. The wood had 3 coats of ugly brown paint over the hardwood. I choose to install it diagonally. It took longer time but it is gorgeous. After sanding the floor you could not tell the difference between the old or new. I almost left it natural but we then decided to add a golden oak stain.
