Guitar Lessons

I’ve really been enjoy lessons with Eric. I’m a new guitar player, always with a million questions. Eric is flexible with lesson structure, stopping and answering any questions I may have, and working on anything I’m having issues with. Eric’s great at simplifying guitar and creating functional fun lessons using basic but important techniques, scales and triads. He also leaves me with things I can work on throughout the week so I’m moving forward and not directionless.

Guitar Lessons

If you're looking for an excellent guitar teacher, look no further than Eric! He's a top-notch professional who is responsive and communicative. His lessons are incredibly reasonably priced given the quality of the teaching you receive. He clearly has a diverse and deep knowledge of music, and he has the ability to translate that knowledge effectively and enjoyably. He makes a point to establish what your musical taste, skill level, goals, and learning style are, and tailors his teaching according to what works best for you. There's no formulaic/impersonal lesson plan here, which is great. It's also worth noting that I was hesitant to try remote guitar lessons at first—I wasn't sure if they'd be as effective as in-person lessons. But thankfully, a few months into doing remote lessons with Eric at a weekly pace, I can say that I'm learning and accomplishing just as much if not more than I would be with in-person lessons. He has a unique knack for helping you identify and achieve your goals while maintaining a positive, fun environment that keeps you motivated and enthused. And he offers so much in addition to the lessons themselves—he's quick to send helpful supplementary materials (such as hand-drawn tabs and chords and short videos) and he generously provides answers to questions you might have between lessons. It's truly game-changing to work with him. I can't recommend Eric highly enough to any student, whatever your age and skill level!

Guitar Lessons

I'm learning the guitar as an adult. Eric has been an excellent guitar teacher! I would absolutely recommend. Based on my lessons with Eric, here's a list of his strong points: 1) Thorough knowledge of playing guitar 2) Patient 3) Clear communicator 4) Adjusted well to my skill level 5) great use of follow-up PDFs and videos from each lesson. These are tremendously helpful and effective. 6) Quick and professional response to questions between lessons 7) Genuinely cares about my progress 8) Great demeanor, down-to-earth approach

Guitar Lessons

Eric has been an excellent teacher so far! He is very responsive with communication and quickly responds to texts and emails. He sends me a PDF and video via text after every lesson of what we went over. This is super helpful for referencing between lessons. Eric explains things in a way that is easy to understand and adjusts to my pace of learning. I am surprised by how much I’ve already improved in just over a month! He covers everything from technique to music theory (even music history!), and I have learned one new song every week so far. The only downside is that all of our lessons have been over zoom due to the pandemic. As a new guitar player, it would be helpful to have some hands on observation / instruction regarding my technique. That being said, Eric has done an excellent job accommodating to the limitations of a video lesson.
