Fantastic experience! He tuned my 1970s Yamaha piano and it sounds absolutely amazing now. Super nice, professional, and made the whole process simple and stress-free. Highly recommend!

I’ve had first hand experience working with Danny on bringing a 1970 Wurlitzer upright piano back to life. He has literally shown me it is possible - whereas in the past; I’d been told an old piano like this would never stay in tune due to its age. Danny’s passion and strong commitment to the craft are a rarity in today’s world.

Big shout out to Danny. He was incredibly helpful in his attention to my piano. He is officially my go to person.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

A few years ago, I spent some time living with my father in Poland, Ohio. He still owns the piano I grew up playing and learning on. Since I would be there, he hired Butch, the only technician in town to come tune it, and I sat with him as he explained the process and how I could pursue this trade for myself. Since moving to Decatur, I’ve acquired a highly skilled mentor I still meet with regularly, and found a deep passion for working with pianos.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone who communicates clearly, arrives on time, and takes the time to carefully assess the instrument and tune rather than rush. Tuners must explain what they’re doing and let you know if they notice anything the piano needs beyond a standard tuning.
