I provide individualized literacy tutoring grounded in evidence-based instruction. Based in Hawai‘i, I work with students virtually across locations. I bring over 10 years of experience in elementary education, including roles as a classroom teacher, K–6 librarian, and literacy tutor. I have also coached tutors in a literacy center and currently teach preservice and practicing teachers how to deliver effective literacy instruction. While I support a range of learners, I specialize in working with neurodivergent students and tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning profiles. Process 1. Intake Session (Free, 30 minutes) Meeting with parents/guardians to discuss concerns, goals, and student background. 2. Assessment Session ($50) Administration of targeted reading and writing assessments to identify strengths and areas of need. 3. Literacy Profile Report ($50) A written report summarizing assessment results, including instructional recommendations for home and school. 4. Literacy Profile Session ($50) Review of assessment findings and discussion of next steps with parents/guardians. 5. Ongoing Tutoring ($50/session) Individualized 60-minute sessions focused on targeted literacy development and skill-building. Well, my weird brain hit me with this: why do they teach you to learn a language with another language? And where are the cliff notes?! So, I'm on a mission to make it eye-openingly easy and neurally natural for people to approach and absorb Japanese. No matter what your age, if you're done with constantly forgetting words 🤔, being in a clueless fog 😵 and feeling frustrated by the oodles of grammar 😡, start your Japanese language journey with me and jump past the bad habits and frustrations I wish someone had told me about when I began 20 years ago. --- Discounts available for private group lessons, multiple family members in group classes.
