- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge by the hour, plus materials (if needed). If I do provide a flat rate estimate, I stick to that estimate. If I find an issue requiring more time and materials, I’ll discuss with Client before proceeding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to make sure I understand the Client’s expectations (learned the hard way on 2 projects and won’t make that mistake again). I want trust, on both sides. If they want something done, that I have no experience or business doing, I won’t fake my way through it. I try to give a good, fair estimate of the cost and time involved.
