My son recently accepted a new job in Atlanta and has been desperately searching for a rental home for the past 5 months. Each time he and his wife found a good listing, it was gone by the time the Realtor eventually returned their calls. And, two days ago they received notice that the sale of his home in Savannah was going through faster than expected. Therefore, the settlement date was schedule within the next two weeks! Frustrated, and upset that another Realtor did not show for an appointment at a listed property, he did what every young many does... he called his mom (in Maryland) to vent and complain! As we spoke on the phone about this stressful situation, we brainstormed other avenues to find current listings. Deciding to avoid the traps on Craig's list and the mega rental databases, we decided to try and find a professional property management company in his area of interest. While he continued to call the Realtor that was supposed to meet him, I quickly searched for a reputable Property Management Company in Decatur, Georgia. And, luck would have it, I found Rachell Runion with TruHaven Homes! I quickly sent an email directly to Rachel (the Owner) and explained our situation. And, boy did she move quickly! Within 35 minutes, she contacted my son directly -- and it turns out that she has the perfect home available! In fact as a Rental Property Manager, she actually had a home that was not yet listed, but would be available in the next few days! Not only was she able to help my son and daughter-in-law, but she found the perfect tenant for her home owner immediately! Talk about a match made in heaven!! Alecia was very knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Before we even got started, she gave me advise of things to check to ensure that I was ready to proceed with the home buying process (pull credited report, think of what area I would like to live in, figure out my budget that will work for my household, etc.). I found that the small things that I done on my end to prepare made the process a lot easier for the both of us. Also, Alecia was hands on and available to show me most of the properties I was interested in and very patient with me and always keep it candid and straight with me (no beating around the bush or making things sound good because that's what I wanted to hear). Mrs. Mayfield is every seller dream come true. She pays attention to close details and listens to all important factors before pricing out your home. I was referred to Sharice Mayfield through a friend and I noticed that she provided so much information on the first call. After meeting with her and realizing that she is a amazing realtor I decided to list with her company. My house had previously been listed for 8 months and without a contract. Miss Mayfield came in on a Monday did a slight staging to my home on a Tuesday and List It On Wednesday. We were under contract on Thursday with multiple offers.
