Shanrae Price

Introduction: My name is ShanRaé Cheree’ Price. I am an accomplished vocalist, songwriter, arranger and producer. I have worked in the music industry for 20 years. My singing career initiated with a music group called “The Daryl Douglas Ensemble”. The very first secular artist I’ve performed with was George Michael back in December of 1991, when he performed at the infamous Madison Square Garden located in New York City. After the performance with Mr. Michael, we were asked to perform at the 1992 Grammy Awards with Mariah Carey. One day during rehearsal, my sister and I were having fun singing, and Mariah overheard us, and quickly asked her manager, Randy Hoffman, and the former president of Sony music, Tommy Matola, to consult us about being her background singers -- and the rest is history! Henceforth, my music career began to soar. Beginning in 1992, I performed with Mariah on all of her recordings, concert tours and have appeared in her videos. During and after my career as a background vocalist with Mariah, I was able to branch out and work with various other artists, as well as pursue many other music industry endeavors. I am available for recording sessions, vocal training, song writing/arranging, voice-overs, plays and concert tours.
