My name is Thomas, but most people call me Smokey. I'm a journeyman lineman, which is where I got the nickname, but have recently left the field to try my hand at entrepreneurship. I'm very good with my hands and have a lot of experience with construction and vegetation management and look forward to serving you in anyway I can. Thank you.

I needed to have a heavy duty tarp installed on the roof of an out of town commercial building. I contacted the Quicker Fixer on Tuesday evening and he provided an estimate and was prepared to complete the repair Wednesday morning. He professionally installed a 10x12 ft, 10 mil tarp to cover the main damage. He proactively repaired several additional cracks that I wasn't aware of. He sent before/after pics of the repairs. His cost was extremely reasonable but his customer- centric approach to execute a total quality repair was the attribute I valued most. Excellent customer service is proving to be a rarity so I wanted to highlight this.

He came, assessed the situation, and now the washing machine is working. Had to tip. He was great. Even found the manual taped under the washer 🤣 right! Definitely will be using him again.

Thomas was outstanding!
This was not an easy job as it was a 16’5” x 9’7” Retractable electric/manual crank lighted awning for back porch. He stuck with it for two days and would not stop until he had the awning working right. It weighed st about 95lbs.
Highly recommend this gentleman as he knows what he is doing!
Thanks again Thomas!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide free estimates. I can provide an inclusive "out-the-door" estimate or provide my services by the hour. I do have a 2 hour minimum charge for every job, with only a few exceptions, in order to cover my overhead and operating costs. I ALSO OFFER A 10% DISCOUNT FOR ALL MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically introduce myself and go over the basic job parameters over text or phone call. On the day of the appointment, I show up, formally introduce myself, and then I like to go through a detailed briefing to discuss the customer's needs and wants, cost cutting methods ,material selection and procurement, potential hazards and payment options available. Afterwards, when the work is complete, I like to do a walkthrough with the customer to confirm that everything is satisfactory.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have no formal training, and I'm not sure if there is such a thing for handymen and women, but have learned with years of hands on experience and as an avid "Do It Yourselfer." I've worked in construction, maintenance, and management my entire adult life as well, particularly in the field of power line construction, maintenance and management. As a lineman you learn to use care when holding certain death in your hands. I try to treat every job I do with the same amount of care.
