The quality of work performed was not as expected. I purchased the supplies that were needed for the project and was told that they would get the remaining pieces, such as the 1/4 round and transition pieces and stair nosing. This did not happen. Also when I inquired about having the underlayment put in upstairs, I was told that it couldn't be done because the flooring was too thick for underlayment. If you are needing your stairs painted or stained, they do not do that either. The hardwood flooring that was installed in the upstairs hallway had several boards where he had got adhesive on the boards and failed to clean it off before it dried. Also there are several places where there are gaps in between the boards. I was to also have the downstairs hall done as a part of this project; however, once again when I mentioned the underlayment, it was a problem and I was told that putting the underlayment down first would be inconvenient to him. On top of that I have engineered hardwood on the downstairs and he said that he would not be able to remove the entire board down to the cement because there was a subfloor under the hardwood. There isn't a subfloor, that is just the layers of the engineered hardwood and I would expect a Pro to realize that. Finally, I come to the stairs (which was the entire reason I started this project). I had carpeted stairs in which I removed all the carpet and staples, etc. Only thing to do was either install the treads and risers on the existing boards or take up the boards and install the treads and risers. He opted to remove the boards. Once complete I tested the stairs. Each stair I stepped on had a creak and so I asked why they were creaking and he says it's because the hard as nails adhesive needs to dry. Days later the stairs continue to creak. Now this could just be a bad experience for me, but I didn't find the answers I was receiving acceptable. In the end the work was not fully completed and it was not the "Highest Level" experience I expected or hoped for.
