FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have complicated pricing system, but I will tell you that some things are best to becompleted on a fixed rate and some projects are best on a fixed rate pricing. For example, Flyers, Business cards and maybe some Ad design can be priced on an hourly rate because they have a quick turn around. Website design, logo design, print work design (few examples) should be priced on a fixed rate pricing the reason being is because they are on a larger scale, take a long turn around time, and there will probably be quite a few revisions those revisions etc take time... so if your paying by the hour it can add very quickly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The industry changes so much I'm just trying to keep up. I usually like to view the trends in the Asian markets they usually on the cutting edge of design and always one step a head.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It came natural. My dad was an artist (still is) and as a small child most of our toys consisted of educational learning- lots of books, microscopics, telescopes and lots of art supplies. The only conventional toys we had was a race car track, Hot Wheels, Baby Alive (only doll I had), Atari, and I had an easy back oven outside of that we had Etch-o-Sketches, Spirographs, paints (water colors), legos, and anything else that helped shaped our imagination and creativity. He may not have provided us with conventional toys, dolls, barbies..etc but what he did provided me with the skills to be a creative.
