About
We have experienced people in every trade, we know which product will work best in each situation and we work well as a team, operating in the most efficient order of operations. Most projects, even those that primarily involve one construction trade still involve other trades or effect other components in the house, so a generalist always operates as estimator, project manager and QC to make sure our customers understand the other components and issues that will come into play. It's different every day, it's challenging, there's always more to learn, working with a variety of people from a variety of backgrounds, working in and out of the office at different times, and most of all, knowing that we helped someone solve their problem(s) and they are happier than when I first arrived.

Had them come out to determine if a wall was load bearing. The engineer determined it wasn’t very quickly and was happy to advise me on some other structural questions around my home. $200 was a steal for the peace of mind knowing my home is structurally safe.

Thanks Matt, so glad we were able to help! Even if that wall had been structural, would have only been another $150 to get a drawing, beams sizing, often with multiple options and a letter, when most for same service are $750-1,500. Customers like you who want to know the truth and do things professionally are always great to work with! Anything in the future, just let us know and can't wait to see how your project comes out sir :-)

Gary is a stud. Hired him to install 6 windows in a basement ( 3x 7ft, 3x 6ft ). He found the windows for me in 1 day, every window vendor I contacted said it would be custom built and take months. He came out on a Thursday to give his quote/estimate, stone masons showed up on a Monday and cut the the concrete blocks, teethed in the new blocks for extra support and backfilled with mortar, everything was done properly without me having to say a word.. Most crews would leave huge holes in your foundation during this period without building temp walls to support the weight till the structural supports go in. Gary had the temp supports up before I could say a word! He sourced me custom made angle iron (see pictures below) for support beams from a local steel maker here in Marietta which was picked up by him and installed by Wednesday. Wood frames were installed by Thursday which set me up to easily install the windows on Friday night. Me being a seasoned DIY flipper/homeowner, I can tell you, this is not a easy thing to do and most people wont even take the job. I'm happy with his service, quality, responsiveness, value... Affordable Craftsmen is definitely worth it
