Training: I can help with puppy training, basic cues, leave it, loose leash walking, emergency recall and some behavior issues.
My goal is to help you understand how to "speak dog". Dog training is mostly "human training with a dog". Let me help you learn to better understand your dog, work with you to teach them basic manners, help understand behavior issues and develop a plan to help.
I have trained over 160 dogs in group classed, individual sessions and in a shelter environment. Training in different environments has helped me become more understanding of clients and of various behavior concerns. I would love to help, whether you just brought home a fluffy new puppy, newly rescued a lucky dog, want to brush up on some things, or have concerns. Reach out and we can discuss your goals.
Nature Dogz is licensed, bonded, insured and pet first aid certified. I am a certified dog trainer, having earned my CPDT-KA certification in February 2022. I have also received certification from the Grisha Stewart academy for Behavior Adjustment Training.

Lisa did a fantastic job taking care of our dogs! From our initial meeting to checking up when we returned she was great. We got updates after every visit so we knew how the dogs were doing. Handled different medicines and routines with no problem.
Only problem we had is that the dogs got so much attention I think they missed Lisa once we returned 😄. Have already booked for future service!!!!

We felt very good about hiring Nature Dogz and we were not disappointed. Lisa took excellent care of our 2 shy cats. The job she did was outstanding. Lisa came over before expected snow here and gave the cats extra food and water. Put out treats. Fortunately the snow was not much. She was able to come the day of the “storm”. The house was neat as a pin when we arrived home. And the cats were happy to be at home. Lisa sent pictures and texts letting me know how everything was at home. Do not hesitate to hire Nature Dogz. They are great!!!

This was our first time using a pet sitter. Truly an excellent experience - vacation is supposed to be about relaxing, and hiring Lisa was a part of that. We had an interview before we left and she was puppy approved! Lisa was extremely reliable… she came over twice a day and did it in such a way that was good for our pups and their “routines”. She played with them, brought some games for them to play with for mental stimulation and spent quality time with them. Every day we got updates after each visit and she sent photos of the visits. We communicated via her website and could send messages back and forth. It’s a nice touch and made us feel comfortable. We will definitely use her service again, and now feel we can go on vacation more often since we have someone to care of our pups, that we can trust. And isn’t that one of the most important things about a pet sitter… that they are trustworthy? Lisa is absolutely that, as caring as we are about our pups, and runs her business well. While we really missed our pups, we really needed a vacation, and Lisa’s service helped us achieve a relaxing week away.

I was so stressed about trying to find someone to care for our two dogs while we went out of town. I knew I didn’t want to board them because of not so great experiences in the past. Thank goodness I found Lisa! My 8 year old Aussie mix is very scared of strangers and I was worried about finding someone she would be comfortable with. After only meeting Lisa a few times, she had gained her trust. Lisa was great about sending pictures at very visit. I was able to completely relax while on vacation and did not have to worry about them at all. She even went above and beyond bringing in the mail and watering plants. It’s obvious the love she has for animals and I know my girls are already looking forward to the next time she watches them! She will now be our go to. If you are looking for someone to completely trust with your babies, Lisa is the one you want!

I called Lisa to help me over the holidays with my babies, one of them is a shy rescue, and when she sent that photo of him next to his brother posing, it told me how fast she was able to win him over.
She spaced the visits just perfectly and sent me photos every visit.
The app she uses to communicate, schedule, and payment make the admin part a breeze.
The part I didn't venture this time was the hiking option for my babies, as this time were several visits per day for several days; for a shorter trip, I will add it as I know they will love it.
I will be asking her to help me again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer training for basic obedience, life skills, behavior issues and puppy training. The individual session fee is $75.00, and packages are available.
Please contact me to talk about a plan.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will do an intake call to discuss your goals, concerns and expectations. If we agree it will be a good fit, then we will set up a date for our first session. Prior to the first session, I will email you an intake form, contract and any questions that would better help me develop a plan. If at any point, either party can terminate the agreement. Training relies on consistency, practice and patience. Results are not guaranteed without those.
