I moved with RightLane Moving about a week ago and was very pleased with how everything worked out. Since this was my first move ever I didn't know how everything will play out, but the sales person I called was extremely thorough. She explained everything in detail and I was told explicitly that I have to list everything in the inventory list prior to the move, so I don't have any unexpected costs. I listed every item that had to be packed and moved and on the day of the move, when the guys came, they checked everything on that list I have provided. They packed all my things very quickly and loaded the truck. I didn't expect them to be that quick, but the whole thing took no more than 2 hours, exactly as the salesperson had told me it will be. I paid the amount that the salesperson had quoted to the cent and did not have any unexpected charges. This was a quick and rather pleasant experience for me. I will definitely use their service again. I would recommend this company to everybody and my advice is - listen to the salesperson - when you are explained everything and do it as you are told, your move will be a success!

I hired Right Lane Moving (henceforth, RLM) in September 2013 to help move me from my home items from my home in North Atlanta to a storage space in South Atlanta (about a 35 mile move). I paid RLM approximately $900 (including tip) for the roughly half day job. The Right Lane employees seemed very nice and hospitable during the move. At the time, I thought of using them again in the future should I need a moving service. However, when I finally unpacked my storage space several days after the move, I noticed that a side table had been broken during the move. The table was fairly inexpensive (approximately $100), but I preferred having it in tact rather than in pieces, so I took pictures of the damaged table and emailed RLM on 09/25/2013 to inform them of the damage. Dejean at RLM responded to my email on 09/25/2013 and told me that he would “try to resolve this as soon as possible”. I started to write the history of the back and forth email I had with Dejean after this but instead of recapping the entire history, it was easier and entirely transparent to post the entire back and forth email history including the date and times sent, as well as the original language used, and the promises made. You can read and decide for yourself how the situation was handled. Here is the entire email thread between us, including pictures of the damaged table: http://goo.gl/SgohXH (*click to view entire email thread between myself and RLM - click magnify glass icon to enlarge) As you can see, in the email thread, Dejean at RML informed me on 11/25/2013 that they his “claims department” had decided to mail me a check. I then waited more than a month to receive the check, but it never arrived. Then on 01/06/2014, I emailed asking if the “check was in the mail”. After receiving no response from Dejean to my email, I then called him. One of his co-workers, Chill (sp?) informed me when I called on 01/10/2014 that they had mailed me a check. When he couldn't provide details of when the check was mailed to me and after I informed him that I never received it, he told me that he would “look into it” and mail me another check in a week. I then waited three weeks, and after never receiving this supposed second check, on 02/03/2014, I once again called RLM. This time Dejean answered and I informed him that I had not received the second check they had supposedly mailed me. Dejean bemoaned his incredulity as to how this could have happened and promised that they had mailed the check. Almost 5 months later, scores of emails written, phone calls made and time spent with RLM making unfulfilled promises, it was enough. I told Dejean he had only Friday 02/07/2014 to get the reimbursement check to me for the damaged table, and that if he truly meant to compensate me for the damaged table, and ever had any intention to do so, that he should FedEx me a check to make certain that it arrived to me within 4 business days (from Marietta to Sharpsburg - a 45 minute drive). It is now Feb. 7th and, well, no surprise here, Right Lane’s check never made it to me. I will sum up with this. If you plan on using Right Lane Moving, then I highly suggest that you not allow them to handle anything of value. If something is damaged, you will not be compensated for your loss.
