Introduction: Neat Nerd Solution's organizing service is very personal and specific. Whether it's de-cluttering a home or creating a paper management system for an office, we aim to create solutions that fit our client's specific needs, not just generic ones that may not work for them. Goals and time frames make a difference in each project and pictures often help to provide a more personalized quote. One size does not fit all. For example, a lower rate may be possible if an assistant is not necessary or it it proves to be a longer term project. In addition to general de-cluttering my service includes: 1. Delivery of donations/pick-up arrangements whenever possible (receipts obtained for taxes) 2. Shopping for containers, supplies, etc if necessary (though we aim to utilize storage options that the client already has as much as possible 3. Research (finding organizing solutions, other necessary services, etc.) We also offer pre-purchase packages at discounted rates. Organizing combines two personal loves: solving puzzles and helping others. Yes, sometimes organizing is like solving a puzzle. And the puzzle is only solved if the client is happy and can find all of their belongings.

Home Organizing

Neat Nerd is AMAZING! I moved into my new home and was completely overwhelmed with having to work remotely and unpack a million boxes. She came in unpacked, organized and turned chaos into order. I am so grateful for her. She made it easy, pleasant and so affordable. She is a wonderful human being. I highly recommend her for any organizing, moving or de-cluttering project. She will be on my payroll until I get settled.

Home Organizing

The feeling of overwhelming clutter was completely taken away and in a matter of hours a 12 year old’s playroom had been organized in a way where it’s still (well almost, he is 12) organized.

Home Organizing

Carolyn was awesome helping my wife and I organize our new office in our basement. She helped with suggestions and listened to our needs in order to get files the way we could find things. I would recommend her to anyone in need of organization.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have a standard hourly rate which applies for most projects. Depending on the project, I can be flexible based on how much client assistance is available or if I'll need to hire an assistant. However, some tasks such as photo/document scanning have more of a per/item pricing setup.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Working with a new client always begins with a consultation. Preferably in person to get a feel for the project and all of the people involved. During this consultation, things such as goals and expectations regarding time frame and end results are established. Once an understanding has been reached, the start of the work is scheduled.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The bulk of my education and training has been from life in general. I've been organizing my whole life though I didn't think of it that way until recently. My brother used to pay me to keep his room neat and clean when I was 12 years old. In more recent years I've read books, taken a few courses/seminars, and worked with more senior organizers to hone my skills.
