Please note this contractor did not do any work so this review in no way reflects craftsmanship. Although Mike is a very nice guy it seems project management and equal respect for current customers vs. potential customers is not a strong point. I initially hired mike to do a major renovation at my house and because this project was going to be funded through my bank, the bank required a few documents. This included proof of insurance, license, references, list of subs used, name of company, owner of company, phone number and address and a few other very basic details. This material took over 2 weeks to produce even though I was told on 3-4 separate occasions he was working on it and I would have it soon, I still never got it. After several follow up emails (several with no response for days) I finally got everything... well almost. I received a license that expired in 2014, I immediately asked for a valid one giving him the benefit of the doubt thinking he accidently sent the wrong one, after 2 follow up e mails he finally sent another one which expired in 2016. I again said this one will not due either since its expired and his response was "I applied for a new one, I am waiting for it in the mail" I asked can I get proof of that for the bank or is there something we can do to get a copy so the bank can approve my loan? his comment "we can wait for it in the mail" with no additional response. Finally I got to the point where communication with Michael was a dreadful experience so I called him and asked what was going on and stated my concern that if he is like this before a project, what can we expect during the project. Mike told me I was at the bottom of his priority list since he had other jobs going on. So at that point I terminated my contract with him. Banks require paperwork if you are doing a renovation loan, in my experience with Michael unless you have a VERY long timeline and a lot of patience for unanswered text messages and e mails I would consider another company.
