Introduction: There are a ton of resume writers out there but very few have the amount of recommendations that I have. Not on this page ... yet... because I just joined. I cannot list a website address here but you can go to LinkedIn and search by my name, Sonja Heck. If you are speaking with other writers, take a look at their reviews on that page, as those reviews are not anonymous. I have almost 70 - how many do the other writers have? It is important to look there. The very best part of my job is that I get to help so many people find satisfying employment, whether they are new graduates or 50+ year olds suddenly facing their first job loss. Nothing makes me happier than making a customer more confident about their options, and then hearing that a customer has found a great new job!

I have been using Sonja for several years and for several revisions to my resume and she is the best at what she does! She does an amazong job with communicating your skills and strengths in a clear and professional looking resume. I feel since having her write mine that I have had more call backs and interest from potential employers than I ever had before. Not only is her work great but she is fast and communicates very well if you ever need anything even after the work is done! I have also had her help me with cover letters as well as my Linkedin profile. I had the pleasure of working with Sonja Heck at Spot On Resume to revamp and restructure my cover letter and resume. As a mid-level professional seeking new opportunities in the Healthcare industry, I felt that to better position myself in front of employers, my resume needed to be more actionable and tell a story about my accomplishments and achievements. After eliciting help on the Thumbtack website, I was approached by several vendors who seemed to have a great deal of experience in resume writing. However, something about Sonja stood out to me. She was not over aggressively as some of other people that contacted me, but rather she exuded a quiet confidence that left me feeling assured that she knew what she as doing. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not complicated, but is based on level of client, difficulty of job, and the amount of services the client requires. My costs are varied but range from $150 - 275 for a resume, cover letter, and thank-you letter. LinkedIn profiles are additional, and I offer those at 50% off to clients who purchase a resume package.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BS in Marketing and an MBA. I maintain continued knowledge in the resume writing industry by always keeping up with new trends, reading articles, and speaking with recruiters, job seekers, and other resume writers.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved to write, especially resumes which I have written for friends/family since the 1990s, and always wanted to own my own company. I was laid off from a well-paying job in 2009, and I decided to go for my dream!
