Introduction

The passion I have for my vocal students has become the highlight and joy of my singing career. I’m a classically trained Broadway veteran, recording and Cabaret artist and I understand the importance of solid vocal technique and performance/audition skills. If you are someone who wants to expand their voice and repertoire and have a blast doing it then I’m your teacher. I’m energetic, creative and absolutely love what I do. My goal is to guide you to excellence! I teach all ages 5- 90 plus. I offer half hour, forty five minute and hourly sessions in my Savannah/ Pooler private studio or online through FaceTime.

I am in my thirties and have a passion for music ministry but knew I needed help to reach my potential as a singer. I have had 4 lessons so far and am already very happy with the results. Janene has helped me learn how to relax when I sing as I would often tense up, breath incorrectly and succumb to nerves. Through the lessons with her, my confidence has certainly improved and I am overcoming challenges with transitioning between low and high keys. My range overall had improved as well in just a short period of time. I have always limited myself in range despite having the voice to do more. Janene is friendly and makes one feel comfortable, yet she is professional and purposeful. I very much appreciate her and definitely recommend her as a vocal teacher and coach!

I've been receiving vocal lessons from Janene for over a month now and it has been great. I already see a huge improvement with the way I am able to sing. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My studio fee's are $65 for the hour, $50 for 45 minutes and $35 for the half hour. I do offer packages. Kindly go to my website to set up your session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a weekly session and time has been established, I assess the ability of the student. From there I introduce or reintroduce the basic's- breathing, vocal exercise and how it relates to the physical body. Then we move to music! I listen to whatever the student is interested in, and then I make suggestions on how to achieve that goal. It's always very inspiring to be apart of my students vocal growth while teaching the fundamentals of voice training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a professional singer I have studied voice for 40 years! My earlier classical training was with my mentor, the late Maurice Allard. Since then, I have studied with Guy Babusek (The Institute of Voice Advancement), the amazing Robert Sussman and Tom Berke both in New York. My vocal education combined with my own professional career experience is a culmination of these master teachers.
