My husband and I own a full service local moving company. We have been been in business for over 5 years. We offer packing and unpacking. I started the service due to the demand of our moving customers. I initially started it on an as needed basis but quickly fell in love with it. To educate myself, I went to work part-time for a large moving company. About 3 months in, I knew my self taught process was just as good, if not better. I took what I learned and began offering our service to our customers turning into a full time position with part-time co-workers. I have packed and unpacked every size house, townhome, condo and apartment. One room or all rooms. No job too big or small. Fragile items are my specialty using packing paper and bubble wrap (for extreme fragile) I handle every item being packed or unpacked like it was my own. It’s more than a job to me. It’s what I like to do. I can also maximize a box like no other. Each box is marked with the room and contents. Of all the 100’s of packing jobs I’ve completed, not once have I come across or been notified of breakage or damage found when unpacking. I unpack as carefully as I pack. I don’t just unload a box into the first available space. I make it a point to unpack in an organized manner. Again, I care and handle everything as I would for myself.
I have been packing and unpacking for 5 years. You can trust that you will be hiring an experienced/expert packer. I work as fast as possible but with the upmost care. I promise you will not be disappointed.
My rate is $45/hour for 1 person. A second person is an additional $35/hour. This is the rate I have charged for the past 3 years. I decided to maintain my rate level when joining Thumbtack in 2023 even though it is a bit lower than the other pros on the platform. I plan to continue at this rate level as long as possible.
Packing Supplies - I purchase supplies from Home Depot and/or U-Haul based on the areas to be packed. No extra fee for providing. Just the cost of the supplies used - receipt provided.
I am open for business 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm. If you are only needing my service on a specific day(s), please please check my calendar for availability. You can do this by clicking on “View Details” under my Hourly rate (which is Currently located under my profile picture). If I am not showing available for hire (“pro not avail for service”) on a certain day(s) then I am completely booked. So sorry, but there is no reason to waste your time messaging me to check my availability for that day(s). Please note that I am charged a fee for the message - So please be so kind to check my calendar if you have a very specific timeline.

I cannot recommend Cindy highly enough! She packed my entire one-bedroom plus den apartment in just nine hours, and I was genuinely blown away by how efficient, organized, and thorough she was from start to finish. Every single item was wrapped with incredible care using packing paper, and she made sure everything was protected properly. Cindy was absolutely a dream! I was overwhelmed with trying to unpack with two babies to care for and she came in and handled everything perfectly. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Packing and Unpacking rate is $45 Per Hour for 1 Person. For a second person it would be an additional $35 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Packing - I arrive and quickly take a look at every area that is needing to be packed. While looking at each room , I’m specifically looking for large and fragile items. Even though the kitchen is always the first room I wrap and pack, taking note of other bulky and fragile items in the house gives me opportunity to maximize each box with the same type of item - fragile, bulky etc. Which helps to lessen the potential for breakage, etc. After the kitchen, I move to the dining, bar and living areas. I wrap all fragile items with packing paper and/or bubble wrap. Once completed, I begin packing all other items in those areas until complete. Next are the bedrooms, closets and bathrooms. I mark each box packed with the room and contents.
Unpacking - Again, I arrive and take a look at all of the areas to be unpacked as well as the areas that the homeowner will be unpacking. If space is limited, it helps to know all areas for possible overflow. I also start with the kitchen. I unpack everything in an organized manner. I don’t just unpack it into any available space. If I’m unsure, I will put it aside and ask the homeowner before I place it. From there I move to the primary bedroom, etc.
