Introduction: Hey Dog Parents, I'm Lynsey. And I believe your dog should be part of your active lifestyle. I get it dog moms and dads. You got a dog to be part of your active lifestyle. Whether that means weekends hiking in the woods, sipping craft beer at your local brewery, or a quiet weekend snuggling on the couch, your dog should be your partner in crime. I also know what it's like to be unable to do anything with your dog. It hurts your heart and soul when you cannot share your lifestyle with your pup. It's heartbreaking. But it doesn't need to be that way. I help dog parents achieve their dream dog through dog training to transform any dog into a well-behaved and balanced family member. Lynsey did such an amazing job with my dog Otis! He was very reactive and not a very good listener before his time with Lynsey, and now he is such a gentleman! He has his same goofy personality, but is able to behave himself and listen so well now! She really cares for the dogs in her program and obviously wants the best for them during and after their training. Could not thank Lynsey enough for all of her help with Otis!!

Marty did a 3 week board and train with Lynsey almost 2 years ago and I cant say enough about the lasting changes we saw in Marty! She helped transform Marty into the well behaved dog he is today. She worked with him (and us) on commands and being able to remain calm and listen in chaos (3 young active kids in our family). Highly recommend Lynsey and Sunshine Training!

My dog, Lucius, is like a new dog after his training program with Lynsey and Sunshine K9 Training. I can take him places, do things with him, and he gets to be apart of the family even outside of the house. Public access was a huge portion of what I wanted out of the program, and I must say; it wasn't cheap, but money very well spent.

Lynsey trained my dog Soot this time last year. When we found Lynsey Soot was destroying everything my mother touched - phones, remote controls, books, you name it he destroyed it to the point that I was going to return Soot to the shelter. Since then Soot is a completely different dog - well behaved (most of the time) not destroying anything. It was definitely worth the investment to have Lynsey train Soot (and us). I highly recommend Lynsey if your dog (and you) needs some new guidance.

Lynsey is awesome! Our Aussie had already been trained on an e-collar in another state. After we moved, Charlie was not too interested in listening anymore so we had Lynsey come for a few private sessions and weve also used her for boarding. She uses the e-collar a little differently than our previous trainer. Her way of doing it really smoothed out his rough edges. Now the family is happy againand a whole lot calmer! Highly recommend!!

Our pricing is available on our website. For an idea on general pricing information. Go to our website and click on the programs tab. Select the programs you are interested in and a page will pop up with the description and pricing of the programs available to you. The current cost of our 3 week board & train program is $2950 down from $3500 for the Holidays! :) Our Do It Yourself Board & Train Program is a step-by-step video course that shows EXACTLY how we train all the dogs that come through our immersive doggy boot camp board & train. You can get this course on our website for just $167!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We want to have a conversation with you! We ask that new customers fill out an application and schedule a call so that we can find out more about your dog and the things you're struggling with. If your schedule doesn't align with what's available, simply send us a message and we'll hop on the phone when it's convenient for you. We want you to know that we're real people and we want to provide you with the best training solution for your dog. Once you sign on with us, you can start training immediately!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been working with dogs since I was 16 years old. I've worked for several county animal service units and animal shelters and continue to volunteer to help dogs in our community. I've owned Sunshine K9 Training since March of 2019 and have been helping owners solve serious dog problems ever since. I have shadowed world renowned dog trainers and am forever learning as dogs have so much to teach us. I am an AKC Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluator. I have also received a certification in the utilization of Herm Sprenger prong collars. While working in the Atlanta area, I went through the licensing process to be able to board & train dogs in my home. We adhere to all state and county permitting processes and welcome questions about our Standard Operating Procedures regarding cleaning, temperatures, emergency situations, and record keeping.
