Walter was great. But the job was a little too much and it required a plumber. Walter opened up the wall for us. He's great! The plumbers finally fixed the problem and now we are rescheduling with Walter to close up the wall. He's really good and I want to have him do other things around our place...need a screen door replaced... aloha, denise

Our built-in grill needed repairing. We were on the mainland and the tenants could not fix it. We could not get to the island for several months. I put out a request on Thumbtack and Walter responded. I never have to look for another handyman again! Walter went to the house diagnosed the problem with the grill, called the parts company in California - determined the necessary parts and I ordered them all within days of my original request! The parts came in and he expediently scheduled with the tenants time to come and install the new grill parts and re-grout around the grill. Fantastic job, great price, great service. Mahalo Walter!

Over the past year Walter worked with me on a total kitchen and bathroom renovation in an older apartment in Makiki. Kitchen: Installedappliances, moved electrical outlets and plumbing connections (stacked washer dryer, wall mounted microwave, stove, sink, faucet, garbage disposal, dishwasher & refrigerator). Tiled kitchen floor (slate tile with a curve design on floor from entry to living room). Bathroom: Installed vanity & faucet, shower head & faucet, removed and installed new tub and wall outlet toilet, leveled and tiled floor. Tiled shower wall with lava rock (created and tiled mold for placement and installation of ceiling fan). He also replaced two ceiling lights and repaired a leak in connection to water heater.
Walter was upfront in price charging an hourly fee. If a situation needed to be addressed by an electrician or plumber he has the contacts to advise or do the needed work. His experience in working on older places was invaluable. He was a great educator for me about the options to consider when picking a product and has an artistic eye.
