FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing includes an online profile where you will be able to connect your fitbit, journal your progress, and message me securely any time. This is all in addition to the initial assessment, education, plan, and goals you will receive during our first session. You are getting so much more than a dietitian, you're getting a support system! :) It is tempting to go with the cheapest professional, but remember- you get what you pay for! If you are ready for real lifestyle change, consider this an investment in yourself, your health, and your future!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
By creating an account through my telehealth platform, we can meet in-person or connect remotely, while still being secure and HIPAA compliant. New clients will have complete control over their profile, adding progress, pictures, connecting their fitbit, and getting feedback (support and accountability!) from me! Whether we are online or in-person, a new client will get an initial nutrition assessment. Here, we will discuss any relevant medical history, weight history, allergies, etc. My client will explain what they want out of this session, and what they want to achieve in the long term. I will ask my client about current eating patterns, triggers, and food preferences. We will discuss exercise, sleep, and stress during this portion of the assessment as well. Next we go into education about food and how to use food to work in our favor. We will also make exercise goals, decide stress management techniques, and plan adequate sleep habits. Together, we come up with a realistic plan, and specify the goals my client is going to work on over the next couple weeks. After all of our discussion and my clients questions are answered, we will schedule a follow up to monitor my patients progress and update goals as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a double Bachelor's in Dietetics & Exercise Physiology from Purdue University. I earned my Master's at Ball State University, with a research focus on using spices to prevent and treat certain diseases. I am a Registered Dietitian and licenced to practice medical nutrition therapy.
