- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer charging flat rate fees vs. hourly unless the project exceeds the estimated amount of time. Once the project goes over the estimated amount of time I charge an hourly fee on top of the flat rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a feel for what kind of style my clients are looking for by requesting they submit examples of designs or layouts they like. If they aren't sure, I'll put together mood boards to guide the client towards a style.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Iowa State. The design program at Iowa State is competitive and only 60 students a year are accepted.
