- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50/hour in-house. $60/hour onsite. Usually a hardware-related job is completed within 1 hour. Virus removal jobs are capped at 2 hours in-house, actual time spent when onsite. Data recovery is charged at $100 minimum. Most data recovery jobs are done for $100.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a brief talk with the customer about the problem, I document their contact info and more detailed specifics regarding their problem. Then I give them a time-frame to expect an update or the completed repair, give them my card and take their computer/item for repair.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Self-taught. Also have CompTIA A+ certification.
