- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been cleaning carpets since I was a kid for my mothers company. Honestly Ive been cleaning carpets for so long that the entire process is second nature to me. I really never decided to get into carpet cleaning it just felt like the right path for me since I enjoy it so much.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my clients have the same kind of problems. The most common types of problems are: pet stains, pet odors, kid and daddy food and drink spills.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you get a written estimate before having anyone come out. Also make sure you ask the following questions before scheduling your job. 1. Ask what kind of equipment the company is using to clean your carpets. Is it truck mounted or is a portable? 2. Ask about the exact process they use to clean the carpet. Are they going to vacuum before starting? Are they using hot water extraction or some other method? 3. How long have they been cleaning carpets and is carpet cleaning the focus of their business? Some janitorial companies offer carpet cleaning as a side service . 4. What do they charge extra for? Make sure you understand all the extras
