Project Be The Change
About this pro
I started out live in the worst possible circumstance - with brain damage, addicted to drugs, and without a family and went on to work at the highest levels of government and business. My speeches inspire young people to realize they can achieve anything they want in life if they are willing to work for it. I provide practical advice that anyone can employ to improve their academic performance. I also provide a free book to everyone in my audience that contains advice from 34 highly successful people from around the world. I love it when a young person comes up to me and tells me that they connected with my speech or when they ask me for a question. The other day a student came up to me after hearing my program a year ago and told me that she thinks about it everyday and it helps her. That is the real reward for all the hard work and practice.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?It is really a calling...after my mother died I felt I owed it to pay the advice she gave me forward to young people. She did so much for me and the other 103 foster children that she took into her home. I felt when she died I needed to do something to honor her life. She was a light in my life and I want to share that light with others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I primarily speak to students, teachers, and/or parents at school assemblies, workshops, or sometimes I'll go to individual classrooms and spend an entire day at a school. I have also spoken at volunteer recognition events and as a keynote at conferences.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?If you are hiring a speaker I would recommend that you hear them speak or watch a video like the one I have on my site. I think its also a good idea to have a conversation with them about what message you want them to share with the audience. It's important to hire someone who you know will connect with your audience.
