Thank you Caleb for the fair price, quality work, and patience with my schedule! Not only did Caleb install a solar powered attic fan at my house, he also walked me through steps I needed to take with insurance when he noticed some wind damage on my roof. I would have never have known. Now I’m scheduled for a claims adjuster to come take a look. Thanks again

There will likely not be enough room here for me to adequately describe what a wonderful experience it has been to work with Caleb. The TLDR is hire him. He's amazing. Follow along for the full story: My roof was in bad shape and needed to be replaced (I knew this!) It had over 3 old layers already on it, the first/bottom layer was very old wood shakes. I did my research and spoke to 4 roofing companies. Researched each of the companies online, read reviews... I did all the things to educate myself. Caleb met with me twice and talked to me on the phone a few times, answering all of my questions in a way that a layperson could understand. On top of that, to my bank account's delight, he also had the best estimate. Caleb got to work the day after I signed the contract, it was the middle of winter and he worked around rain, snow, and very cold temperatures to get the old roof torn off and the new one put on. Because my house is nearly 100 years old it is no surprise that he encouraged some "interesting" things in the process since there was no code when the house was built. Caleb consulted with me every time, he patiently explained the scenario, talked me through options, and then quickly adjusted to what needed to be done. Here is just one example. At some point in the roofs' history, someone installed a "skylight" which was just a window that was glued to the roof. (Insert head slap emoji here.) Caleb walked me through the options, ended up buying a new skylight kit, and then retrofitted it to the non-code-sized hole in my roof. You can times that scenario by a few, and if that weren't enough he also fixed random little things that needed to be fixed that were easy for him to do but that someone else surely would have upcharged me for. Because my roof had so many layers including disintegrating shakes, the tear-off was a mess. Caleb and his crew made sure was picked up, and that there was not a splinter of wood or rogue nail left behind. He left my yard in better shape than what he found it in! Fast forward to the end of the story, I have a beautiful new roof.

In early January, (a horrible time to be contemplating replacing a roof) I contacted 4 local Boise roofing companies. Three of them responded quickly and provided in-depth project bids. I selected Chavez Roofing and Construction LLC and I'm glad I did. My house is a tall skinny with a steeply pitched roof. This project impacted not only me, but the neighbors on either side of me. Caleb and his crew had to fight with multiple demons of morning frost on the steep roof, and early sunset bringing the day to a close. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, however, each night before they left, they cleaned up the mess that inevitably lands between the houses. Caleb and crew were all polite and respectful of my neighbors and our properties. Caleb is a delight to work with. He communicates well and frequently, knows what he's talking about, and oozes sincerity and pride in his product. Oh, the 4th company? Their bid finally arrived the day Chavez Roofers were packing up for good. Their bid was also considerably higher than any of the other bids I received. Sometimes it's the young guys that are hungriest and most driven.

Caleb (owner) exceeded my expectations. It was a long arduous project but he pulled through with an amazing result. Unfortunately, I can't upload pics because they are to big :( What he did was completely re-roof a very, very old roof (some parts had 6 layers), fixed very, very old wood siding, and repainted everything. He scrubbed, filled, sanded, fought off wasps and their nests and has a strong attention to detail, all pain-staking work. He is good-nature d, well kept and kind. In summation - he took a house (built in 1910) from shanty to Shangri-la! And I thank him whole-heartedly for EVERYTHING he did!
