I am an internationally certified arborist. Certified by the ISA which if your unfamiliar with is the international society of arboriculture. We have been in business since 2019 and would like to keep expanding our business and providing tree care knowledge. I really fell in love with this industry once I started to learn and understand the science behind how trees grow, how root systems develop, and how to identify diseased trees and treat them. The chainsaws and equipment are definitely a bonus!

The project involved cutting down 2 very large honey locust trees located near the driveway entrance. I initially contacted Outdoor Solutions via Thumbtack. The owner, Nathan, an ISA Certified Arborist, immediately contacted me, visited the property, and provided a very fair estimate to complete the project. I obtained 2 other estimates from quality competitors (one whom I had previously used numerous times) and ultimately selected Outdoor Solutions due to the excellent communications and estimate within my target price range. I am very pleased with the completed project which included cutting down the trees with heavy branches, many of which were hanging over the road and a neighbor’s driveway which had become a liability. The fella that used the chainsaw from the cherry picker aerial lift to prune the branches and cut the trunk was highly skilled and he took a lot of care not to damage the area under the tree which included wooden fences, mailboxes, cinder block entry wall, and a sprinkler system. Result = zero damage. The team chipped the branches into a 4 cubic yard pile of wood chips which I will distribute onto property. They left a good amount of quality tree logs which I will split into firewood while removing the undesirable wood. Highly recommend Outdoor Solutions.

I had a great experience with Nathan and his team at Outdoor Solutions. I needed three very large trees trimmed, one of which was compromised (but fixed) and could have been a danger to my home and neighbors. Nathan was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the best approach to ensure safety while maintaining the trees’ health.
They were efficient and did an excellent job cleaning up. When they were done, there was no mess left behind—it was as if they were never there. Now, with spring coming, I’m looking forward to seeing how great the trees will look with fresh foliage.
I highly recommend Outdoor Solutions for anyone in need of tree services. Nathan and his team did an outstanding job.

Team of three managed working on our rather steep backyard with good humor, asking what I wanted done, and even came early for the day’s work. I appreciated their efforts.
Estimate was reasonable and I was very impressed with Nathan's knowledge of the plants and work needed. The work crew showed up on time and did more than I expected. I am thrilled with the way my yard looks and will definitely use them in the future.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are some of the lowest in the valley. We try not to assume debt and buy our equipment after waiting and saving. Which really transfers to the customer because we don't carry the overhead the big guys do. We don't show up in brand new trucks that unfortunately gets transferred onto the client when it comes to estimates. We also are happy to price match any company.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To set up an in person free consultation to discuss your concerns and for me to tell you what I think should be done for the health and longevity of the trees and shrubs! I also just like to give some info about how to fertilize and a good watering schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an internationally certified arborist with over 7 years of industry experience. To become certified, you have to take a comprehensive test on all aspects of arboriculture. If one section failed you fail and cannot re-test for one year. it's very similar to a 4 year degree. I am also required to get ceu's (continuing education units) to maintain my certification because we are in an ever evolving industry with new research coming out every day, it seems! I love the challenge it brings and love to continue learning about this awesome industry, especially in these dire times of climate change.
