FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a standardized pricing system that we have developed based off of national average, local average, and our own evaluation of product cost vs profit margins. Our prices do vary per square foot slightly from project to project. This is because some projects will need more prep work and materials than other jobs. Our estimates clearly show what will be included for the price of the services. Because we hand measure all surfaces it really allows us to know what the exact cost for your materials are and a very accurate estimation of time we will need to properly finish your project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Because each job is specific we will first schedule a time to meet personally to go over your project and find out what your desired end results are. We hand measure all surfaces and calculate each measurement to ensure you are getting a fairly priced quote based off our measurements. Our estimates will show you were every penny is being spent and how much each area of your home costs exactly. This allows our customers to decide on doing entire projects at once or to do separate areas that are a higher priority within your budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being that we are in an artisan type trade most of our education comes from our time spent doing this occupation. Both owners of Idaho Stone Crafters have attended trade schooling that is specific to our line of work and we continually work with new products as the technology becomes available. Our coating knowledge is keen and allows us to view your project and use the most durable products specially formulated for the surface we are restoring.
