About
At Coeur d'Alene Stump Grinding, we focus on doing the job the right way the first time, guaranteed. We grind stumps deeper so you can properly replant grass, build landscaping, or fully reclaim your yard without roots or raised areas left behind. We take extra steps to protect your property by using plywood to reduce lawn damage, setting up barriers for safety, and thoroughly cleaning up before we leave so your yard looks just as good as when we arrived. Customers consistently mention our communication, attention to detail, professionalism, and how much cleaner our finished jobs look compared to other stump grinding companies.

Bryan did a great job getting rid of our stump that we had in the front yard and cleaning up the materials. We planted grass and it doesn't look like there was a tree there at one time.
Coeur d'Alene Stump Grinding's reply
Thanks so much for the review! Glad I could help prep the area for your new grass.

Weve been battling a stump for weeks and finally caved to hire someone to help us remove it. I called Bryan and he was at my house the same day to check it out. Very affordable and did amazing work! Highly recommend!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't charge a deposit. Pricing is based on stump volume (not just diameter), surface roots, number of stumps, and any extra travel outside the Coeur d'Alene area. I'll always give you a clear quote before starting. I also offer $25 off (or refunded) for every referral who books a service.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a quick call or message, then come out for a free, in-person estimate. I walk the property, check stump size and location, and flag anything that needs special care. Once you approve the quote, I schedule the work and grind the stumps. Cleanup is always included — I leave the area looking good no matter what. If you want to keep the woodchips for landscaping or garden use, just let me know and I'll leave them piled where you want; otherwise I haul everything away.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There's no formal certification for stump grinding, so my training has come from the field. I've worked closely with Vermeer technicians to fully master my equipment, and I've learned a lot about tree biology and root systems from certified arborists I work alongside. On top of that, I've put in hundreds of hours actually running the machine on real jobs — there's no substitute for that kind of hands-on experience.
