FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning. I am always practicing, watching webinars, taking online courses, attending seminars and conventions. I feel the more I know, the better I can do my job and meet the needs of my clients.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients don't hire me just to take great pictures of them. My clients hire me because I seek to provide an experience for them. For every session, no matter what type it is, I work with each of my clients on finding the right location, the right wardrobe and the right look for their session experience. For most sessions we plan out specific wardrobe pieces, and depending on what type of session it is, we also work hair and makeup into the session. I have both a professional stylist with whom I work and consult with, as well as a wardrobe stylist.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There is more to hiring a photographer than price and images. The best images created are when you have a good relationship with your photographer. You need to feel comfortable with the person you are working with so they can get a feel for you, what you are like, and who you really are. When this happens your images go from just being nice, to really capturing personality. A good photographer will work with you to set you at ease, they will give you an experience rather than a business transaction. Start by looking for someone who reflects your style in their imagery, but then don't be afraid to get to know them a little bit. Find out a few things about them. If you can hit it off with your photographer you are guaranteed to have a great experience, and in turn, have great images.
