FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee for a 45-minute counseling session is $100. However, I am also listed as a preferred provider on a great majority of insurance companies and am contracted for variable rates depending on the particular company. You will likely have a co-pay amount for sessions after deductible requirements are fulfilled. Please refer to your particular insurance company for information on your particular benefit design. I am also a provider for many employee assistance programs (EAP's), which would be free of charge for clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love meeting new people and helping them overcome life's challenges. The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, for me to learn a little bit about your situation and story, and to develop goals and strategize ways for improving your circumstances to help bolster your quality-of-life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a master's degree in clinical social work and a doctorate degree in human sexuality. A lover of learning, I continually strive to gain education and new wisdom to strengthen my clinical skills. As such, I also hold additional certifications and specializations in relationship coaching, substance abuse, grief recovery, anger management, career development, trauma, life coaching, and work with LGBT individuals and families. I am also an adjunct faculty professor teaching graduate classes in counseling and social work for two major universities online.
