Myers & Myers exceeding my expectations! I needed two pedicure jet chairs installed in my nail salon. I contacted Myers & Myers via Thumbtack and they came out to access the job right away and gave me a reasonable quote. They removed old plumbing and installed the new pedicure jetted chairs. Their works was clean and I'm extremely happy with the work that was done. I will be contacting them for any future plumbing needs. Thanks again Myers & Myers!

We had a major clog in our sewer main line that backed up the entire house. Myers' crew worked fast to help us out. And the pricing was excellent.

Their communication was terrible from the onset. I will NEVER use them again. I should have gone with the other company that had excellent communication and was very professional, but I went with them because my sink was leaking and they could get here sooner. I didn't want to risk waiting and it getting worse before someone could arrive. They took forever to respond. Most of the communication happened outside of the app via text even though I communicated in the app. They never picked up the phone to call. I called and left a message the day of because my appointment was at 3 and at 3:30 the plumber still wasn't here so I wanted an estimated time of arrival. I was just waiting, no communication. It was okay that he was behind. Things happen. Communication is critical. They never called me back. I texted and posted in the app and couldn't get an ETA when asking the person who was messaging. They just kept saying he was on his way which as we all know could be 30 minutes, could be an hour. When I complained in the app and said I would just use another company since they couldn't properly communicate and answer an easy question they blamed a new app that they have. I tried to take that and give them grace that perhaps the app in fact didn't update me like it should. Doesn't explain why an actual person can't look at where he's coming from and where he's heading and tell me an ETA. There was also a lot of time in between messaging where there weren't responses at all which is why I called a 2nd time and then found out the voicemail was now full. Also unprofessional. No way to connect with anyone via phone is not a good look for a business that provides this type of service. I should be able to speak with someone. Additionally, the part was put on without me being quoted a price. It was supposed to just be being tested out to see if that fixed the issue. It did fix it (at least it temporarily seeks that way...it was just done so I'll have to see if it continues to work...I think it will) so he left it on. Again, it's okay, but let me know the cost for the fix. I asked about the cost and he said he didn't know for sure and even acknowledged he didn't quote me the price beforehand so he knew that wasn't ok. I asked him what does it cost and he said he couldn't give me an actual price because they do the pricing and would send me an invoice after he left. I was so caught up in the moment and focused on how bad my leak could have gotten if it hadn't been fixed as soon as it was (he even said that it would have been all over my kitchen and messed up my flooring so it was on it's way to being a much more serious issue) that I didn't even think about how messed up and odd that is. And again, unprofessional. No one does work with a surprise cost. I've had work done on my home before by others and when they figure out the problem they tell you the cost to fix it even if they have to call their company to get the quote. THEN they proceed with the work if the customer wants it done. I asked for an IDEA of the cost. He said less than $200 and that what he did (replacement of a braided water service line) costed about $80. I asked then why would it cost anywhere near $200 (less than $200 was what he said he would TELL them to charge...which is also odd to me because how do you tell them what to charge, but don't make the decisions about costs/charges?) if it costs $80 to do the work. He backed off on pricing. I received an invoice for $200. I inquired about the price based on our conversation and they said that's the cost for the service. I told them about the conversation and that I didn't understand how this was more than twice the cost to do the work. They responded with he told me that he doesn't make the prices. They told me they waived the service call fee. I told them they don't charge a service fee per what they have listed on Thumbtack (I have the screenshot and it's $0 for a service call. Everyone else has a service fee and they say they waive it IF hired to do the job). They told me they waived it after he arrived. What?! How do you waived a $0 fee and who does that just because someone arrives? Additionally, I mentioned them not giving me any quote beforehand. They said nothing about that. I even mentioned to the guy when he was leaving (well, I told him when he got here and he just said "ok") about the poor communication and how I wasn't going to follow through with using them as a result, but since he arrived right when I messaged them that I went through with it. He told me the young lady was new. I understand needing time to learn the job, but she should be able to communicate. That shouldn't need to be taught and should have come to the job with that, but based on what I saw throughout this experience good communication is not what this company is good at so it makes sense that this wasn't a requirement. Honestly, I'd be ok had they just apologized for their lack of professionalism and their errors and mess ups. They didn't. Only made excuses or evaded the questions and concerns. I let them know and I'm saying it here. I'll NEVER use them for anything else. I was in a difficult situation and that impacted my decision to move forward with subpar service. I won't let that happen in the future. A business should operate at a professional level. With multiple issues this business clearly doesn't care about clients, just money. I never mind paying for the cost of anything. I don't question people's prices, but when there's so much inconsistency and lack of ownership of the problems and no desire/attempt to even apologize and try to make it better on top of lying (service fee), I'm questioning because the math wasn't mathing and clearly they're showing they can't be trusted. So yeah, go with someone else. Anybody else.
