FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price for a website is very much dependent on the scope of the project. That is why it is important to have a conversation with a potential client to discuss the ultimate goal of the website. In general though, I will charge $500 for a website that is extremely basic and go from there.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process involves learning about the purpose of the website, asking other questions that help me understand the motivation for having the website, and obtaining certain information I need to create the website. The process is heavily based on open, transparent, and responsive communication between myself and clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended an online coding bootcamp, where I learned the principles of how websites work including front end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I also have an understanding of more advanced technologies like React.js (a JavaScript library), Git and Github, back-end technologies (a.k.a, server-side tech), and website builders like Wix, Wordpress, and Webflow, to name a few. Lastly, throughout the years, I've studied more about good design principles, like visual hierarchy and color theory, and how to recognize good design versus bad design in order to provide a well-rounded design and development experience for client projects.
