FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
No matter what type of photography services my clients are seeking I try to get to know them as much as possible so that I can really capture their true essence in every photograph. If it is a one hour portrait session I try to ask questions ahead of time to learn about their hobbies, interests and anything that is important to them that can help to make their portraits as personal as possible. If it is a wedding I like to take at least an hour in the beginning to meet up, get to know the couple and discuss the style of photographs they want and learn all about them so that I can bring that knowledge with me to capture their truest personalities in what I capture on their big day!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals so I stay up on all latest editing techniques. I also teach introduction and advanced digital photography at the college that I graduated from so that helps me to stay up on all of the newest equipment and techniques utilized in today's world of photography. Teaching also allows me to stay challenged in photography because I have to continually find ways to keep my students challenged!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a camera geek all my life. No joke. I used to steal my dad's film camera and do "photo sessions" with my little sisters. That love never went away and I have turned my youthful hobby into a service that I feel serves the members of my community!
