Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Great contractors have great insurance, they will always have a copy for your review, Workmen's compensation is something all great contractors have. Get the insurance agents name and number and verify the limits and if the policy is good still. In todays economy many are getting rid of insurance and especially workmen's compensation. Also contractors that are members at Chamber of Commerce, NKBA, Nari and other trade associations have Ethics codes and regulations that they must follow. Finally it is ultimately going to come down to do you feel comfortable with them in your house.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Why are project quotes all over the road? In todays economy pricing is from one extreme to antoher. The big difference in pricing is mainly labor cost, companies like mine have excellent insurance, employees, training classes, Marketing cost. These are fixed numbers which cost us money to make sure you are getting the best value for your dollar. With unemployment so high everyone becomes a trades person(Side job Bob) they carry little insurance or none, little or no training(Certifications), little or no experience, little or no marketing.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. How long have you been in business?
Are you a member of any associations?
Do you have a copy of your Insurance?
May I go to your past clients house to look at your work?
What is the process for a remodeling project?
If I have issues with whom will I be talking to?
Will there be one contact person or many?
Are you or your sub contractors licensed? (Plumbers, Electricians)
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

About Lotz Renovations Inc.
My insistence on the perfect remodel extends to how I treat you. For example, I absolutely HATE sales pressure. I once had a vacuum salesman in my home pitching his product to me for almost 3 hours. I eventually told him he needed to leave—I just couldn’t take it anymore.
The truth is that I can’t stand high-pressure pitches and salesmen who just don’t take “no” for an answer. That’s why I am completely honest and upfront with you. I won’t beg, haggle, and tell you only what you want to hear just to win the job. YOU call the shots.
Because of my passion for helping people, I remain a remodeler by choice. If you’re looking for a remodeler who truly cares about your project—and who respects your time, money, and home, please contact us!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. They usually ask, What do I think this project will cost? Are there any ways to drop the cost? Can we supply the materials? Will it help if we do the demo work? How long do you think it will take to do this project? The one question that many leads DON'T ask and should is can I see a Certificate of Insurance and do you carry Workers Compensation?
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. It runs in my blood, my Grandfather was a carpenter, my father was a carpenter. I was 21 years old when I started my business and have had the great opportunity to meet so many great clients. I want my clients to feel like they are part of my family.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. We are constantly doing continuing education classes and webinars. We are member of the NKBA, NARI, and an Accredited BBB company. We educate our employees on new techniques and drill home safety and cleanliness for the projects.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. We just completed a typical bathroom remodel, remove and replace tub, shower valve, vanity, vanity top, faucet, flooring. The project was completed in about a week from demo to cleaning.
