- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most popular service is a "Mo'Rakkan Dance Party," where I give a short (5 minute) performance and then the rest of the hour I will teach the guests groovin' belly dance moves and combinations. My second most popular service is to perform at an event for anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes, depending on the clients' needs. A typical birthday party is a 5-10 minute performance and a wedding is one or two 20 minute performances. I also give classes to beginners at my studio in Elgin, IL, at the local community college, and at several locations all around Chicago and the suburbs. I have many testimonials and reviews from students and clients at Judy's Book and my Google Places page.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you're hiring a true professional. Due to the economy, many students have taken it upon themselves to go "pro." You may pay less, but you are not getting a professional dancer with professional costuming. Be very weary of anyone charging under $175 for a performance, as they are probably older, obese or a student.
