- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A very bad experience at one of the big box store photo departments. We had a scheduled appointment...so my husband, our two very young (both under 2) children arrive on time only to find they were running almost TWO HOURS behind. By the time they got to us and shoved us into the little 10x10 (if that big) space and blasted all of those hot lights on us...we were ALL miserable. I think we ALL left crying that day ;-) My husband said to me "you better learn how to do pictures yourself because we are NEVER doing THAT again!" ... so I did :-)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I would say children 3 and under, fall family sessions and high school senior sessions are my most common.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Whether it is myself or another ... hire a PROFESSIONAL photographer! Do not have your sisters' boyfriends' aunt take your photos (unless she is a professional of couse ;-) You will thank yourself for years to come .. and the generations after you will as well.
