Serious Inquiries only please, every message costs the pro! 😊 I’ve been professionally performing in Theater for 5 years and have my BA in Theater/Psychology from UCSC, Certificate in Theater Industry Essentials at NYU, pursuing my MFA in Acting at DePaul TTS, and have just been named VoyageLA Magazine’s “Rising Star.” My focus as an acting coach is to guide you through upcoming auditions/projects/new techniques to ensure you are consistently developing as a performer. I will cover multiple acting techniques that will be helpful for performers of all ages and abilities. I am also highly trained/experienced in Improv work. I have studied Improv at UC Santa Cruz, Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater, and the infamous Second City (improv) Space. The art of comprehending dialogue through focus, imagination, rhythm, beats, scene analysis, and subtext was greatly aided by Donio. There is more to acting than just speaking, and I truly appreciate Donio's assistance in helping me concentrate on what my character is trying to communicate and how she expresses herself. Zoom lessons were incredibly beneficial in that they allowed me to maintain my focus and attention on each scene. What's more significant is that Donio never voiced annoyance over the fact that I might have been his grandmother's age. Instead, he approached each class as a professional instructor would, with grace and professionalism. 💫 Donio helps me to stay on track. Some minor glitches such as recordings aren't sending; system logs in slow. I'm not used to prepayment before services rendered. But I'll trust the process. 💫I definitely recommend Donio for any age group kindergarten to adult.

Donio's directions were clear, and he continually asked for my feedback as to whether or not I understood him. As I went through today, I found myself using the breathing/voice techniques that Donio guided me through in our session yesterday.

Donio is one of those teachers you get excited to learn from. He taught me so much about acting and the teachings from his lessons helped improve my mental health with how emotionally in-depth they go. He’s very knowledgeable, personable and talented!   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I have always loved performing, but never really had the option to take lessons growing up because of how pricey they can get. My main goal for teaching is to help inspire creation and development for performers and if discounts/payment plans are necessary for them, I encourage that to be brought up. I do not want anyone to be afraid to take lessons because of their lack of funds. Performance lessons should be accessible to everyone!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I have worked with college students, Elementary students, and ages 40-70 in improv classes taught by myself. I teach all skill levels, but especially focus on beginners-intermediate.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    What are your goals for lessons? What do you want as the end result? I am very goal oriented in my lessons so I can best help you with your personal journey as a performer
