FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Onsite or Remote Support: $150/hour (1-hour minimum) No travel fees inside Chicago. No hidden charges. No upsells. We charge by the hour, not by the issue — meaning if we fix multiple problems in the same visit, it's still one bill. 10% discount for Veterans, First Responders, Seniors (65+), and Individuals with Disabilities. All clients also receive: • Free antivirus protection • Pro-level cleanup & optimization tools • Basic follow-up support Local note: Chicago high-rises often suffer from Wi-Fi interference, ISP modem/router issues (Xfinity, AT&T), and thick-wall construction that kills signals. We include optimization tips tailored to your building’s layout.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Quick Contact: Tell us what's going on — slow computer, printer offline, Wi-Fi dead zones, smart-home setup, etc. Fast Assessment: We ask a few questions and confirm whether onsite or remote service makes sense. Scheduling: We offer same-day or next-day appointments across Chicago — River North, Streeterville, Gold Coast, West Loop, Lakeview, South Loop, and nearby suburbs. Onsite Service: Your technician arrives on time, explains the issue clearly, and gets to work. Common Chicago issues we see: • High-rise Wi-Fi dead zones • Xfinity gateway misconfigurations • Elevators and thick concrete walls blocking 2.4/5 GHz signals • Old wiring in classic Chicago apartments • Router resets after storms, winter outages, or power flickers Transparent Billing: You approve the plan before any work begins. Wrap-Up: We explain what was fixed, optimize your devices, and give tips to prevent future issues. Follow-Up: We check in afterward to make sure everything is still running smoothly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We combine formal education, professional certifications, and extensive experience supporting Chicago residents and businesses. Certifications: • CompTIA A+ • CompTIA Network+ • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals • Apple Certified Support Professional • Training in Wi-Fi optimization, security, data recovery, and smart-home integration Experience: 20+ years supporting homeowners, seniors, executives, medical offices, remote workers, condo residents, and small businesses. Local expertise: We’re familiar with Chicago infrastructure challenges — older multi-unit buildings, thick concrete walls, tri-level homes, and high-rise HOA network rules.
