Introduction: *Zoom only* As a tutor with fifteen years of experience, I focus on pedagogy and confidence-building. If you want quality, this is it. I offer French, Russian, and German lessons to both children and adults, from early learners to advanced students. I help learners to achieve fluency in comprehension, writing skills, and pronunciation. My lessons include tips on pronunciation, illustrations of tricky grammar points, and a ton of exercises. I offer Learn French Through Literature classes as well, for intermediate to advanced learners. The rate is $40/hour.

I have taken two German lessons with Kristina so far and I am impressed. I enjoyed my first lesson so much that I attended the second lesson even though I was feeling sick. In this short time, I already noticed Kristina is a skilled instructor with years of experience. She has been gauging my level since I haven't spoken my beginner level German in over a decade and has structured her lessons in a way that isn't too easy, yet difficult enough that I am challenged and learning many new things. I look forward to learning more from her so that I can someday surprise my German friends with decent fluency. ;)

After 3 lessons, I'm very happy. After being at a plateau, I've never been more optimistic about effectively increasing my German language skill level. She ensures that the basic grammar is understood, points out tricky parts, and is flexible to explore more challenging material so learning does not get boring. My impression is that she is paying attention to creating the right balance for the individual student but requires commitment to the agreed study plan. I hope to report positive results within 6 months.

Kristina was a fabulous tutor for my neurodiverse teen in German! She tailored the lessons to what my kid responded to and the way she learns. I assess their level, unless they are starting from scratch, and select the teaching materials based on that. The students who are starting from scratch are asked to fill out a questionnaire.

I did my doctorate in philosophy, which meant working with the original German texts. What’s more, my father was German.
