Having Heather as our photographer who was not only professional, but fun-loving and caring, made myself, the groom and my entire family at ease on our wedding day. From the thorough and timeliness of her communication, contract and survey (even when I would not be so timely and go months without getting back to her...my bad Heather) to the day of where she would be directing our high spirited family and friends, she put her all into ensuring we would be happy with her services.We had a destination wedding where my family is from Arizona and we got married in Leavenworth, Washington. Heather flew out from New York, drove 3 hours from Seattle up the mountains to a campground to photograph a Star Wars theme-inspired wedding. She rolled with the nerdiness, was a trooper through rain and even helped me walk in giant trash bags through mud so I wouldn't get my white jumpsuit and boots dirty before the ceremony. Heather is above and beyond a talented photographer and an above and beyond kind of person with going (and flying) the extra miles for her clients.It truly felt like Heather was another guest having a good time, just holding a camera, which was our hope. During our bride and groom photo session, Heather captured the love and fun in Michael and my relationship and caught beautiful moments through raindrops, Washington wilderness and autumn leaves. Heather, it was a true joy to have you as our photographer and Michael and I know we will be mesmerized by the memories your photos capture for many happy years. Thank you so much!

Heather is not just a photographer, shes truly an artist! Aside from being extremely talented and detail oriented, shes also flexible and fun to be around. I hired her to take some professional fall-like photos with my sweet pooch, and she went out of her way to find special places to take the most captivating shots. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and it is reflected in the phenomenal photos she took! Not only did she capture our personalities, but I've never had such a great time taking photos! She made me feel comfortable in front of the camera, and want to take more! Heather is amazing!! She was so warm and friendly from our very first call and made us feel so comfortable. Her professionalism shone through in every interaction, but her passion made sure it never felt like she was just doing her job. The day we did our engagement shoot, it was absolutely freezing and we were right on the water. Heather never complained once about the weather, and she made the situation work to our advantage! I hate having my photo taken, and while I was uncomfortable at first, Heather was very patient and soon I felt completely normal. She was able to capture our personalities so well and get amazing shots while never making us feel like she intruded. We loved working with her so much, we wanted to book her for our wedding before we even saw the final shots from the engagement shoot! After seeing the final edits, we knew we had made the right choice. Heather sat with us on a zoom call to go through her top choices from the engagement shoot to get our reactions and feedback, so she can tailor her work for the wedding day to make sure she captures what we want and how we want it. We cannot wait to have her capture our special day!

Heather is an outstanding photographer and person. We did an engagement shoot with her and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! She is very thorough and eager to capture her subjects vision. After our initial call, she scheduled another call to discuss the location of the shoot and logistics. Together, we came up with the awesome idea to shoot in a park in Queens during cherry blossom season. She told us the colors she thought would be best for us to wear based on the colors of the flowers, we were SO impressed with her knowledge and amazing attention to detail! Fast forward to the shoot, we got there a little late which was a bit stressful but Heather had an amazing attitude. I must say, this shoot was one of the most romantic moments we've had since we've been engaged. Heather asked us to look each other in the eyes and connect. We did just that! There was nothing super posey or unnatural about the shoot. She gently guided us all the way through and really heard what we were asking of her. Heather holds a special place in our hearts forever!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices vary per service offering. If you have any questions, please reach out! In general though, all my fees include pre-production consultation, location scouting, the photoshoot, lighting and equipment, and general editing. Retouching is available for an additional fee. Albums are also available for an additional fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am an extrovert, so I always like to start by talking on the phone to get to know each other. After that, I will talk about my creative process and packages. If I am hired, we'd also set a separate creative planning call a few weeks prior to our photoshoot as preparation (consult on location, wardrobe, colors, theme, etc). Once the photos are edited, I host a zoom call to review them together so I can get on-the-spot feedback. I always look to improve and love listening to your spontaneous feedback. If you are a wedding client, I use the engagement session as a no-obligations trial and your feedback guides how we can plan your wedding portraits. This is a way I can make the complexity of wedding planning a bit more carefree.
