During my over 29 years in the real estate and construction business, I have gut rehabbed whole properties, built over 40 new construction buildings, renovated many kitchens and bathrooms, built decks, interior rooms and nearly anything else you can think of. I met Phil when I had a contractor cancel last minute on a walk-through estimate. I contacted Phil the morning of and he arrive early to the site. Phil's bid was competitive and I am so glad I got to work with him. He built out a bedroom with a pocket door and a transom in my studio and painted the whole unit. It really looks outstanding. Phil also went above and beyond for me, picking up random stuff (outlet plates, lightbulbs) at Home Depot and fixing my balcony screen door. I have to say, Phil is unlike most contractors. He is approachable, reliable, has great communication and is a bit of a perfectionist. He was readily available by email, text, and phone calls, which was outstanding considering both of our busy schedules. As such, he sent picture message updates every day of the job to keep me in the loop. It was awesome to see the progress while still giving him space to work. I definitely learned a lot from Phil; he answered all of my questions with total professionalism. And I am proud to have turned him on to Behr Ultra Premium paint!

After vetting four different contractors for the gut rehab of our single family home in West Bucktown we decided to work with Franklin Construction. Phil and his crew were professional, accommodating and always price conscious. The most impressive part of the entire experience was their consistent desire to "get it right". There were no shortcuts or excuses. They were extremely respectful of the space, our personal belongings, and our family. A life event that is usually considered one of the most stressful that you can go through was made pleasant by Phil and the rest of the associates of Franklin Construction.
