- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm actually no longer accepting personal training only clients and charge by the week with monthly packages. One week that includes a personal training and coaching session cost $120 and one month for $480. This is just for the one-on-one services but we offer a variety of programs with different pricing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am constantly doing continuing education for both my counseling license and personal training certification. I just did a webinar last week on the impact that self-talk has on our mental wellbeing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This has been a pretty organic progression. I have been playing sports and working out ever since I was a kid. When I dropped out of little league after a move to a new state I gained a lot of weight, all the food, none of the activity. During undergrad I put myself through school working at a hospital as a surgery tech which increased my desire to help others. I first was certified for personal training in college and just had a blast working in gyms with people trying to get in shape. The Master's degree just rounded things out when I realized my clients were asking for more.
