Introduction: Hi there, we are Mike & Jess - founders of Tend2You Events! We may be new to Thumbtack, but we are not new at what we do! Combined, we have 15 years of bartending & serving experience, and 10 years of event planning & management experience. Our background is filled with concerts, weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, tournaments, holiday parties, & more! That said, your large guest count does not scare us. ;) Over time, people we've met along the way have asked us to work their personal events (engagement parties, Anniversaries, Weddings, etc). They loved our service so much that they've asked us to return every year and also passed us along to friends - because of them is why we decided it was time to give our “side gig” an official name which is how Tend2You evolved. We plan events, we bartend... whatever you need our team can help. If you have a big event and need more waitstaff, we are all ready for you! Mike & Jess are a dynamic duo. Very reliable and down to earth people who cover every detail. They bring great organization and spunk creating a fun & stress free atmosphere for the host and guests. They are the best to have at any event of any size.

We utilized Tend 2 You for a small holiday get together and I must say, having Jessica here was a significant stress reliever for me as a host. She was extremely tentative to ours needs which included but we’re not limited to creating a beautiful charcuterie spread with items we purchased, bringing last minute items such as ice, and and most importantly, clean up! She was professional, prompt, and exactly what we needed the day of our gathering.

Where do I start? From the first phone call Jessica was amazing to work with. I hired her to be the day-of coordinator for my wedding and I couldn't have made a better decision for my special day. Her energy was always so positive, which is exactly what a stressed bride needs. We had a few meetings before the event--two through Zoom and one on site at the venue. On the day of the wedding, she executed my vision perfectly! There was not one thing I had to worry about concerning the vendors, venue set-up nor the flow of the day. She was firing on all cylinders! I wholeheartedly recommend her services and look forward to working with her again in the future.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All pricing is customized to the clients needs. Base pricing fluctuates depending on the number of guests, duration of the event, the number of staff members needed for your event, etc. Contact us for your complimentarty proposal!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We treat new customers the same as our regulars. The service you'll receive on day 1 is the same as what you will get every time you book with Tend2You. We work with you from the first time we speak all the way through the day of your event. This will ensure everything runs according to plan and exceeds your expectations. Together we will decide on a price that works for the both of us, then we will both sign an official contract for your records as Tend2You’s promise of service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Tend2You has over a decade of Bartending and Event Planning experience in the Chicagoland area. We are certified Bartenders bringing you service that is memorable for your guests all while ensuring they are safe, happy and having a good time!
