Bryn Taylor (Bryn Taylor Personal Style Management) is a life-saver!! Although being a guy I was initially a bit skeptical about using a female stylist, Bryn was brilliant!! First, she asked detailed questions about what I wanted and my personal goals (which she helped me refine and clarify) and then used that information to assess my closet and where my wardrobe was lacking. She helped me get rid of items that were out of date or that did not further my goals, and she helped focus my attention on useful items already in my collection. At no point did I feel pressured to throw out things I really love or that are personal to me. The second part of our sessions was to shop. Bryn was non-judgmental, open to my ideas (but kept me focused), practical and stayed well within the stated budget -- she was extremely knowledgeable when it came to (i) who carries what for the best price, (ii) where to cut costs and where spending a bit more would really shine through, and (iii) how to combine pieces in multiple ways for max versatility. She is a genius and I would very highly recommend her services to any one seeking a stylist/closet revamp/whatever -- whether it is learning the basics, updating an existing wardrobe, transitioning to a more mature look for work or dating, or just trying to add a little more pop to your style, Bryn is the person for the job. Bryn helped me find great values and avoid making all the mistakes I would have made had I shopped for myself, and she saved me a ton of time -- ultimately, her service paid for itself! Five stars!!

Bryn is truly amazing at what she does! I had two primary goals when I reached out to her. (I had interviewed several people before deciding to work with her.) For some background, I am a working mom of two very active kids, and I travel a lot for work!
My first goal was to reduce my closet by about 25% to 30% by identifying what didn't fit, what was not my style anymore, etc. We did that in spades!!! The second goal was to see where I had some gaps in my closet. She identified the gaps and sent me links to clothes that she thought I would like. I liked!!! So, objectives achieved!!!
Okay, that's the professional review. The personal review is that Bryn was amazing with my preteen daughter who wanted to be involved in the whole process. She was so amazing in fact that I actually asked her to come back and help my daughter get her closet organized. Bryn helped my daughter go through her closet and identify awesome outfits...She sent her pix of her in these outfits and she sent her a list of appropriately priced items that my daughter loves and wears often.
So, if you are frustrated when you look at what's hanging in your closet, I know that Bryn will make it better...in ways that you want and many ways that you may not have imagined!

I worked with Bryn to find an appropriate outfit for a big interview. It was for a very conservative company, and I'm not really a suit kind of person.
We met at a store during my lunch hour, and Bryn had already pulled a bunch of outfits and had them in the dressing room when I arrived. It was a huge help off the bat, especially since I literally had an hour to get this done. Plus, she kept in mind my budget when choosing the store.
I tried pieces on, and Bryn talked me through everything in a very professional, yet relaxed way. It made me feel a whole lot better about everything. Especially since this process can be daunting when you're standing in your underwear in a dressing room with someone.
She suggested we go with a classic dress and blazer combo. The dress she found was conservative, but with a hint retro, which I love. And the blazer was complementary, but not too matchy matchy. We also talked about jewelry and shoes to put the whole look together.
By the end of the hour, I had a whole new outfit that I was excited to walk into the interview in. I felt it reflected my personality while still showing off a certain aspirational quality.
Plus, I can use the dress in other ways for other events (which Bryn showed me too).
Overall, a wonderful, efficient experience thanks to Bryn!

Bryn immediately put me at ease. She really wanted to know what mattered to me regarding my wardrobe. She wasn't trying to a push a certain look or style on me. Bryn also agreed that style doesn't have to be all super high-end designers - a good mix of with quality pieces inserted goes a long way. She assembled a great look book for me along with notes about how to assemble each outfit. Additionally, she made some suggestions about pieces I might want to purchase to further enhance what I already have and hopefully create even more stylish outfits. I look forward ton continuing to work with her. I don't think you can go wrong hiring Bryn to get you moving in the right, stylish direction.
