Kevin Stangler...the short answer is, "the man knows his mutts". The longer answer is as follows. Kevin has an affinity for training that is unmatched by any other I have met. And I've met a handful. Beyond passion, Kevin also has an excellent knowledge-base, grounded in the most current science of training methodologies as well as animal behavior. Kevin has a breadth of real-world experience, working with all types of dogs, ranging from severely aggressive animals, ex-police animals to cuddly pups and obstinate adolescents. Oh, how many times I've seen this guy teach an old dog new tricks! Kevin knows that one size does NOT fit all, so he takes time learning the animal, its environment, its people's habits and behaviors (usually weirder than the dog's!), and tailors custom training routines, meant just for you. He is extremely focused and meticulous when it comes to constructing these routines. Kevin is an excellent teacher and communicator, very proficient at taking complex training and breaking it down, so you too can look like a pro! And who doesn't want to look like a pro? Mutts love him, and you will too.

Owner/Trainer, Kevin Stangler, of Mannered Mutts Dog Training has such a wonderfully infectious passion for sharing his craft of communicating with dogs. His explanations and demonstrations are very clear and professional. Kevin is ready to answer any and all questions throughout the process. I've never felt rushed or that I was doing something incorrectly during a lesson. Kevin always has a positive approach toward guiding me and my 4 mo. old German Shepherd puppy. Many of the "puppy issues" I had concern about (jumping on people, stealing items from other dogs' mouths, heeling, recall, and bolting to play with other dogs) have been addressed during lessons with Kevin. The results after three lessons are fantastic. Puppy obedience progress now includes recall off leash, stays off people, won't try to bolt and play across the street, doesn't steal from other dogs (puppy is understanding boundaries), and heeling is improving with daily exercises. Kevin's goal to help me and my pup work and play as one unit has strengthened our human/canine bond. Kevin always helps us feel comfortable and confident in our learning and success toward dog obedience, safety and companionship. Because I live a 3 hr drive away, Kevin even does video sessions with me.

Kevin is an excellent trainer!!! I brought my troubled pup to Kevin when my dog's aggression became too much for me to handle. After working with Mannered Mutts, I can finally take my furry friend everywhere, while feeling confident that she won't cause any harm to anyone. As a matter of fact, she loves giving kisses to anyone who gives her belly a good scratchin'. :)

We contacted Kevin with a specific straining need for our 7 year old Golden who we needed to get accustomed to a crate for traveling in the pet cargo area of out airplane. He picked up our dog at 2:00PM with the crate and at 6:00 pm the same day sent pictures of him eating in his crate. He had him for 2 days and had him completely acclimated. He then spent 2 hours with us showing us how to reinforce his training. Kevin is personable, energetic and clearly has a way with dogs.
