Marlon's dedication is incredible. He is both totally professional and also comfortable and easy to work with. His ears and his equipment are top-notch, and he won't settle for less than the best sound/feel/quality that can be produced. That being said, he is never pushy, and his judgments about what you're working on are offered rarely enough that you can really trust them, whether he's telling me that a performance was good or if he knows I've got a better one in me. He is very patient if I get picky about wanting to redo a take or listen to a tiny part over and over, which I so appreciate. I am always impressed by the work he does on my tracks outside of our sessions together. The ideas he has about ways to enhance them are always great and reflect that he's really listening to what I'm trying to get across with a particular song. I love being at Marlon's studio; the vibe is warm and relaxed, just playful enough, and focused on getting work done. Records, posters, memorabilia, and personal correspondence with artists surround the space, displaying a reverence for musicians and a love for the work they do. The combination is perfect for inspiring creativity and makes me strive for the highest quality. I've worked a lot with Marlon because makes my records sound great! I can't recommnend him highly enough.

I typically start off every project with a casual planning meeting to address the clients goals, timeline, budget, and expectations. From here we can decide the best approach to begin the project.
